Movie Time
Whilst we are all imminently going to have a lot of time on our hands Lola (10) and I have compiled a list of 8 Movies to watch that inspire and create conversation around emotions.
βοΈ
Wonder - A beautiful film that addresses standing out and and the challenges that it can bring. Very heart warming and a fabulous feel good ending.
π
All Toy Story Movies - The Toy Story Series embraces friendship and the inevitable obstacles that can get in it's way. Each film has a different underlying message that is covered in a captivating and witty way. These are messages that will move children and adults alike on their own personal level.
πΉ
Brave - Watching Merida, the hero of this story, embracing her individuality and standing up for her beliefs can't fail but make you stand a little bit taller in your own shoes by the end.
π§
Inside Out - No better film to explore all possible emotions that being a human being can bring. A great reference point to encourage conversation about not only your child's emotions but also your own.
βΊοΈ
Mr Stink - The first film from the wonderful David Walliams in this list. Mr Stink explores generosity and acceptance with great warmth and humour.
π
Up - Once you've dried your eyes from watching the opening scenes this film provides a great and heart warming example of the power of friendship.

Harry Potter Movies - The Harry Potter films create such great escapism, something I'm sure we all agree is needed right now. Covering loss, friendship, power and courage all the films are fantastic for creating conversation with young aspiring witches and wizards.
π
Boy in the Dress - Witty and wonderful film covering acceptance of not only others differences but also potentially a child's own.
I hope that this list helps. Please do add any of your own favourites in the comments below.
